And now for the sixth wine review from Exultet Estates:
Pinot Noir “The Beloved” 2010
We now turn to more serious Pinot Noirs. The first is called “The Beloved” because it is produced from the winemaker’s favourite Pinot Noir clone.
This wine is a beautiful ruby in colour. Its nose is rather closed but still shows cherries, although I’m told it will open more during the year – and it did open some more during the tasting. On the palate, there is a lively wine with firm, drying tannins and indisputable structure. Black pepper fills the mouth, almost hiding the red cherry and some sour berries. Its finish is of medium length in pepper.
Very good, but I would wait for it another 2 to 3 years.
Et maintenant, voici l’évaluation du sixième vin de chez Exultet:
Pinot Noir “The Beloved” 2010
Nous passons maintenant aux Pinot Noirs plus sérieux. Ce premier est nommé “The Beloved” (Le Bien-Aimé) car il est produit à partir du clone de Pinot Noir préféré du viniculteur.
Sa robe est d’un beau rubis limpide et son nez plutôt fermé montre tout de même de la cerise. On me dit qu’il s’ouvrira plus au cours de l’année, et une certaine évolution en ce sens peut être vue durant la dégustation. En bouche, on trouve un vin vif aux tannins fermes et asséchants et une structure incontestable. Du poivre noir rempli la bouche, cachant presque la cerise rouge et d’autres petits fruits acidulés. Sa finale est moyenne, en poivre.
Très bon, mais je l’attendrais encore de 2 à 3 ans.
